Bubur Lambuk K.Jee

Semalam kita puasa... 

Elok je kita on rice cooker masak nasi utk anak2 Mak cakap teringin nak makan nasi lembik (bubur nasi). 

So petang tu kita buatlah bubur lambuk resepi K. Jee (Fauziah Samad). Dah 2x buat, alhamdulillah sedap. Suka resepi2 k.jee sebab main campak-campak je. Resepi sukat2 kita tak berapa rajin... Hehe...

First time buat kita dulu kita guna telur masin but buat semalam w/out telur masin. Sebab takde... Kita tambah garam dalam 2 sudu kecik. Dua-dua version sedap.

Kita takde pressure cooker, but my trusted rice cooker ada dual functions; rice & porridge cooking. Untuk secawan beras tu kita letak 5 cawan air, set rice cooker kita function porridge. Once dah lembut, dalam 1/2 jam gitu, kita tukar balik ke function rice cooking dan tambah lagi 2-3 cawan air dan santan. Then perisakan.

Cukup2 je secawan beras tu. Next time kena masak lebih sikitlah sebab Adik sorang pun dah 2 mangkuk dia pulun :p

Tengah sedap berbuka jiran sebelah hulur pulak mee sepinggan. Alhamdulillah, rezeki jangan ditolak dak?

Mail Mee Rebus, Melawati

Masa kita kecik2 dulu, bila dapat kiriman duit dari Abang kita yang kerja di bandar, Pak akan ke pekan Kupang, beli mee rebus dan mee goreng. This was considered a special and luxury treat for us once a month. Biasanya Pak beli 2 bungkus je, serba satu. Balik rumah kami akan makan beramai-ramai. Rasa seronok sangat dapat makan mee yang sedap tu. Pernah juga bila balik kampung try cari kedai tu tapi tak jumpa, or dah moved kot. Since then I long for this delicious mee but couldn't find one until one day...

Tn Hj, my 2nd boss invited us for lunch at Mail Mee Rebus di food court melawati. I was curious what is so special about this place and its food in particular until I tasted the mee. Omai, it tasted soooooo good and i can attest that this is authentic from Penang.  Yes! Finally I found a place for a very delicious mee, which almost taste the same with the mee that i usually ate during my childhood. If Pak is still alive, I would bring him here. Tsk tsk... 

You should try both but personally I prefer mee rebus. Sedapnya lahai kuah dia yang pedas2 manis tu. And rencahnya sangatlah mewah; tauhu, cucur, telur, taugeh semua ada. Dengan harga serendah Rm4 sepinggan sangat berbaloi, in term of quality & quantity. They have special menus too; rojak/pasemboq, mee sotong, paru etc., with extra charge of course. 

Gerainya pun bersih. The cook pun pakai face mask time masak. Kebersihan terjamin, insha Allah. 

Buka every day except Friday kot, until 4pm kalau tak silap. Sila terjah :)

Cars Kitchen SS13, Subang

Bila dimaklumkan tempat farewell hubby dekat Cars Kitchen ni, I had no idea where it is. Never heard about it before.  Tried to 'google' but still no clue. Apatah lagi area subang ceq memang fail! #pasrah. 

And pagi tu baru tahu warna tema biru. Ah sudah! Kita takde baju biru except kurung & jubah huhu. Since event petang (hi-tea), pagi tu sempatlah naik turun 2-3 butik kat prima tu tapi takde yang berkenan. #pasarahlagisekali :) tak wajib pun pakai biru tapi saja nak seronok2. 

Keluar je tol Subang, terus kita on Waze. Biaq dia ja tunjukkan jalan sebab kita tak tau kan... Memang tricky tempatnya especially bagi yang tak biasa dgn area sini. Dah sampai pun we were like puzzled. Tempat ni adjacent to a gym, car wash & workshop (at the back) that's why namanya Cars Kitchen ! But no worries, takde pulak nampak lecak etc sbb car wash tu is very neat & tidy. Kereta pun nampaknya semua hebat2. I guess it is a car spa instead of car wash shop. Forgive me as I didn't pay attention to this matter because I was focused on getting into the air-conditioning room reserved for us :p it was very hot that day. 

It was a nice room decorated with colorful balloons. Kanak2 memang super happy lah kan. Pandai organizer ambik hati. Mak ayah pun senanglah hati nak makan & borak. The setting inside ala2 kantin/warung with bangku panjang & meja kayu disusun and few tables jugak. There are washrooms too. Kat luar is non-aircond section. 

Sampai dah terbelit dengan belon si Fariz ni :)

The menu includes; nasi lemak bungkus, laksa, fettuccine carbonara, fried spaghetti, roti jala, pisang goreng cheese & choc, kuih cara manis, egg tarts and hot & cold drinks. Food sedap sangat especially pisang goreng tu memang layan. Sambil borak sambil mengunyah, sedar2 dah habis :p kita rasa semua except laksa sebab masih pantang, tunggu Adik setahun dulu. Roti jala kita terlupa nak jamah. Since food tu banyak berlebih, pakat tapau bawak balik. All in all memang best and comfortable atmosphere. 

We enjoyed the moment very much. Again from the bottom of our heart, thank you for the memories.

Farewell "Mr Kita Buat Dia"

His working philosophy is "kita buat dia". He applied this philosophy in his daily routines and encouraged his teammates/colleagues to always believe that there is always a way out (solution) to a problem/issue. If option A fail, then you have options B to Z to choose from. Everything is manageable and do not simply give up. 

He has been working for the company for more than 6 years and finally called it a day. This is the second farewell they have had for him. In 2013 he was transferred to another department and based in Shah Alam. After 3 months, he was recalled back to the head office. This time he leaves the company for good. 

He established a strong friendship not only  with his colleagues but their families too. He and his family turned up at almost every events; family days, weddings, iftar sessions, raya gathering, majlis aqiqah etc. 

Quoting his superior farewell speech, "ini bukan pilihan yang tidak tepat utk dia dan keluarga" boosted his morale and confirmed his choice. He has been aiming to work in this industry and when the opportunity came, he accepted the offer to broaden his career and to provide a better life for his family. Insha Allah.

The moments spent with this great and supportive IAD family are truly appreciated. He and his family are honored and thankful for being a part of this family. It was a wonderful experience knowing each and everyone of them. 

Judging from the reaction, well wishes and gift presented to him yesterday, I can conclude that he is well-liked, respected and loved by many. May Allah bless him always, ease his days and shower him with guidance,  love and support at his new place.

You two should see his super happy and grateful face when he saw the gift. Thank you very much for giving this precious gift, for making his wish a dream comes true. And thank you for making my life harder; I need to think of other gift for his upcoming birthday :p

Last but not least, from his best buddy, Akmal he got a Kedah jersey. Fabulous!

He was touched because he knew how much sacrifice his buddy made in giving him this jersey. 

Adik pun dapat jugak.

Koleksi jet tempur katanya...

Since he was 3-4 years old he started playing with Lego. Asal dapat result exam elok je mesti minta lego as a reward. Masa Umi Walid pegi mekah hari tu pun dia minta Lego jugak. Gigih Umi Walid cari, jumpa jugaklah dekat kedai BinDawood sebelah masjidil haram tu. 20 riyal, that time. Ini pun ikut Walid pi market nak bodek Lego la tu :p

Kalau nak dikira memang dah berkotak-kotak kami beli kan dia Lego ni, tapi tu lah ada yang dah hilang pun. Sepah sana sini. Banyak juga yg kena sapu dengan umi :p

But, I always impress with his ability to assemble these tiny things. Imaginasi dia memang tinggi. Kalau suruh Umi buat memang menegak je jadinya, buat rumah memanjang. Tapi dia pandai reka macam2. Tak rugi beli kan dia mainan ni, trigger his creativity & imagination. 

Sempena LIMA 2017 ni, kita tampilkan koleksi kapal tempur ciptaan Abang :) inilah kerja dia sepanjang school holiday ni.

Ada separuh tin lagi ni belum assemble. Habuan adik2 main. Tapi selalunya depa akan suruh (baca:kacau) Abang jugak lah assemble untuk depa. Time cuti sekolah macam ni Umi pun biar je main puas2. Hari sekolah kadang tak sempat pun. 

Main elok2 ye Abang!

Murah rezeki...

Semalam kita masak sup kaki ayam, ayam masak halia dan goreng ikan keli utk dinner. Sambal ikan bilis lauk siangnya ada sikit lagi. Cukuplah tu. Janji ada sup, seleralah anak2 especially Kakak makan. Satu lagi favorite dia telur. 

B balik from work beli roti canai 3 keping. Kita potong kecil2 kongsi makan ramai2.

Balik dari surau lepas maghrib tu Abang & Angah bawak balik pulut kuning & rendang ayam. Alhamdulillah rezeki lagi...

Kenyang sungguh kami makan malam tadi. Sampai berlebih2 makanannya. Hari ni Umi tak payah masak lauk, masak nasi je. Lega :p

Happy 6th Birthday Angah!

This cheeky boy turns 6 yesterday. Makin menjadi-jadi karenah dan keletah dia. Anak no 2 lah katakan... Kadang2 sweet kadang2 grumpy :(

Kek beli dekat Bakeri Ria, sebelah balai polis melawati. Suka beli kek kat sini sebab kedai Muslim. Sedap pulak tu. 

We had birthday treat at Sudu & Knife. Kali ni dinner so dapatlah try western food depa. Sedap and worth for money. Portion besar, bukan takat kenyang tapi sengkak he he... Harga standard lah around RM13-14 for main menu; chicken chop, chicken grill etc.

Alhamdulillah we enjoyed the moment.
